In this article the evolution of the princely-magnate and gentry elite groups under the conditions of late Middle Ages is analyzed. The process of gradual convergence of the elite layers is traced. It is proved that side by side with the struggle for political levers of the management of the government, there were slow processes of statutory leveling and interpenetration between princely and gentry elite layers. The slowness of such processes was dictated by the conservative character of medieval elite, the cliquishness of social status which were conditioned by the Chrtistian tradition of structure of society and feudal economical system. The chain of reasons of damping of prince’s families is suggested. Here we can make a conclusion that as a result of the processes mentioned above the Ukrainian princely-gentry elite lost the signs of political elite of the nation, and in the 20–40th of the XVI century such functions the new elite of Ukraine – Cossack starshyna assumed. У статті проаналізовані процеси конвергенції елітних спільнот, що проходили на території України в кінці ХVI – 40-х рр. ХVIІ ст.: поступовий відхід у тінь аж до повного зникнення старої князівсько-магнатської політичної еліти і вихід на політичну арену еліти нової, козацько-старшинської. Показана закономірність цих процесів, їх етапи та можливі причини. Зроблено висновок про безперервність розвитку української політичної еліти протягом Середньовіччя – Нового часу, не зважаючи на зміну її якісного складу функцій і завдань. В статье проанализированы процессы конвергенции элитных сообществ, которые проходили на территории Украины в конце ХVI – 40-х рр. ХVIІ вв.: постепенный уход в тень вплоть до полного исчезновения старой княжеско-магнатской политической элиты и выход на политическую арену элиты новой, казацко-старшинской. Показана закономерность этих процессов, их этапы и возможные причины. Сделан вывод о беспрерывности развития украинской политической элиты на протяжении Средневековья – Нового времени, несмотря на смену ее качественного состава, функций и задач. |
