Description В статті розглядаються питання методики використання краєзнавчого матеріалу, що можна використовувати при навчанні географії в закладах загальної середньої освіти. Авторка статті пропонує певні географічні теми, де питання краєзнавчого матеріалу звучать найбільш актуально для формування предметних та ключових компетентностей. Проведений аналіз географічного краєзнавства, свідчить, що не кожна наука здатна органічно поєднувати минуле, сучасне і майбутнє, як це робить краєзнавство.
The article deals with the method of using local history material that can be used in teaching geography in institutions of general secondary education. The author of the article suggests certain geographical topics where the issues of local history material sound most relevant for the formation of subject and key competencies. The analysis of geographical local studies shows that not every science is able to organically combine the past, present and future, as local studies do.
