Тривога смерті є однією із найбільш фундаментальних тривог, що можуть переслідувати людину. Тож постає проблема пошуку ресурсів, які можуть бути протиставлені цій тривозі. Визначено, що одними із таких ресурсів можуть бути сенс життя та відчуття щастя. Вказується, що сама наявність сенсу життя, у концепціях деяких вчених, є важливим компонентом щастя людини. У цілому на сьогоднішній день у світі є достатньо більш-менш сучасних емпіричних досліджень зв’язку страху смерті з сенсом життя та щастям. Відмічається, що в Україні проблема тривоги смерті розглядалася здебільшого лише в теоретичному аспекті. Наше дослідження показало, що ні наявність сенсу життя, ні прагнення відшукати цей сенс ніяк не пов’язано з відчуттям щастя. Не було знайдено значимих кореляційних зв’язків між щастям і тривожністю щодо смерті, окрім позитивного зв’язку наявності сенсу життя з усвідомлення перебігу часу. Тут ми маємо в наявності значиму позитивну кореляцію зі шкалою щастя. Це йде дещо в розріз з отриманими результатами інших вчених, що проводили опитування студентів у інших країнах. Визначено, що наявність сенсу життя корелює з когнітивно-афективною стурбованістю смертю. Крім того, нами була отримана значима негативна кореляція між фактором усвідомлення перебігу часу та пошуком сенсу життя. Цей зв’язок свідчить, що люди, які шукають сенс життя слабше усвідомлюють перебіг часу та його устремління до смерті. Також визначено, що люди, які шукають сенс життя менше тривожаться відносно смерті або, навпаки сильна тривога смерті заважає людині шукати нові сенси, ставити нові цілі тощо. Треба відмітити, що наш результат суттєво відрізняється від результатів отриманих в зарубіжних дослідженнях. Тож можна говорити про наявність культуральних відмінностей у кореляціях між наявністю сенсу життя та тривогою смерті.
Death anxiety is a most fundamental anxiety that may chase a person. Correspondingly there arises a problem of looking for resources that can be contraposed to this anxiety. It is determined that the meaning of life and the feeling of happiness can belong to such resources. It is pointed out that in the conceptions of some scientists the very presence of the meaning of life is an important component of human happiness. In general there is a sufficient number of more or less modern empirical investigations of the connection of death anxiety with the meaning of life and happiness. It is noted that in Ukraine the problem of death anxiety is mainly treated merely in its theoretical aspect. Our investigation demonstrates that neither the meaning of life presence nor the aspiration to find this meaning are not in any way connected with the feeling of happiness. No considerable correlation was found between happiness and death anxiety with the exception of positive connection between meaning of life presence and the awareness of time flow. Here we observe considerable positive correlation with the happiness scale. To a certain extent these results contradict the results of other scientists, which conducted the survey of students in other countries. It is determined that the meaning of life presence correlate with cognitive-affective death anxiety. In addition we observed considerable negative correlation between the factor of time flow awareness and the search for the meaning of life. This connection indicates that people, who search for the meaning of life, are less aware of time flow and of its striving towards death. It is also determined that people who search for the meaning of life are less anxious about death or, vice versa, strong death anxiety hinders person’s search of new meanings, setting of new goals etc. It should be noted that our results are essentially different from the results of foreign investigations. So it is possible to state the presence of cultural differences in the correlation between the meaning of life presence and death anxiety. |
