A method for curvature assessment of measurement information on the video pictures renewed after compression in measurement technique and processing digital video pictures is used. According to the method accuracy increase of curvature assessment of measurement information of geometrical characteristics of objects available on video pictures renewed after compression a mean square error value for simulation of discrete values of video signal amplitude on the video picture renewed after compression, the calculation of peak signal/noise relation for this video picture is made. Further the search of video signal amplitude differences conforming to object forms on this video picture is carried out. Then a mean height of these differences for the given coordinate axis in the plane of this video picture linear approximation is defined. Then the calculation of mean square error value to determine object form coordinates on these video pictures renewed after compression by formula.
