A method of deck milling by face mills includes removal of the greatest part of allowance by rough cutting elements securely fastened relative to the housing of the mill, which moves along circular trajectory. Finishing allowance is moved away by cutting elements, which are located in radial direction at smallest distance from the axis of the mill with greatest offset relative to the rough cutting elements and moving along straight path perpendicular to the vector of longitudinal feed of the billet. |
