The validity of the use of simulation by the method of equivalent materials for full-scale facility (ferruginous quartzite) and wax models of compliance with the basic criteria of similarity (Strength test modeling and similarity criterion Cauchy) to study the influence of the explosion of a cylindrical charge on the parameters of fracture zone is proved. The necessary and sufficient number of measurements to determine the fracture zone in the explosion of a separate charge is established based on a series of experiments. The theoretical and experimental dependence of stress changes over time in blasting hole charges in a wax model is obtained. Their mutual identity change is established. Maximum stress values at the points of observation on the verge of charge with the environment and at distances of 25 and 46 hole radii charge are calculated. The maximum pressure of about 9.8 MPa (74500 mm) at the time of 0,045 ms is determined. The calculated maximum stress is 8.8 MPa at the time of 0,042 ms, i.e. the divergence of results does not exceed 10 %. The variation of the measured dependence is similar to the calculated dependence.
