The article proposes the use of an adaptive algorithm for the determination of weighting coefficients by the criterion of a minimum mean square error on which the operation of the known adaptive antenna array (AAA) with the ?internal? pilot signal (Widrow?s array) for self-focusing of AAA of one user of radio communication channel to the source ?external? pilot-signal (PS) of the second user is based. For radio line being the part of an onboard adaptive M-element antenna array of a spacecraft (SC) and a ground station (GS), as a source of additive mixtures of useful SC control signal and narrow-band ?external? pilot-signal, the formula for the power of AAA output signal under the influence of mutually uncorrelated noise sources (m < M) was elaborated. Desired signal loss on the output of array was estimated depending on GS capacity and noise on the input of self-focusing AAA (SFAAA) and angular relationship of GS and noise source. A comparative analysis of obstacles passing to the output of SFAAA compared to common (non-adaptive) antenna was made and the gain in the signal/obstacle on the output of SFAAA and common antennas was estimated for various parameters of the input signals. The requirements on necessary PS power on the input of the array at which the desired signal loss does not exceed permissible level were elaborated. An assessment of SFAAA noise immunity for several models of complex signal situations including six sources of noise in the side lobes and a part of the main lobe of the radiation pattern was made. |
