Potential of low-energy cathode-ray microprocessing of optical surfaces of ?8 glass is shown. It results in the improvement of its technical operating descriptions (microhardness and wear resistance). The optimal modes of cathode-ray microtreatments are offered: specific power of electronic stream (P = 3,5.103 Wt/m2); current of electronic stream (?f = 36 m?); time of electronic influence (t = 1,2.10-6 s). A microhardness increase of the optical surfaces, treated by the offered method of low-energy cathode-ray microprocessing in 2,5...3,5 times, and wearproofness ? in 1,23?1,27 times, is set.
